We are looking for a road construction manager for measures on road 165 Hällevadsholm – Tingvall at the Swedish Transport Administration.

This is a consulting assignment based in Hällevadsholm, Munkedal municipality. The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of the construction manager involves leading and coordinating the assigned area/contract for load-bearing and improvement measures on road 165 between Hällevadsholm and Tingvall. The construction manager is responsible for ensuring that the contract is planned, quality assured, and executed according to contracts, plans, budgets, regulatory decisions, and permits. The role includes follow-up, technical support, documentation, and acting as the client's representative on the construction site, as well as supporting project management in terms of economy, time, quality, and environment.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to project management.

Assist in driving progress in the contract.

Design and quality support, e.g., provide feedback and assist the contractor with drawings, control programs, and work preparations.

Manage any deviations.

Participate in construction, site, and financial meetings.

Contribute to building good relationships with landowners/stakeholders.

Coordinate with other technical disciplines.

Participate in necessary inspections and assessments.

Contribute to the compilation of the project's final documentation.

Requirements (Mandatory)

Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Experience working in project groups where coordination has been important.

Driver's license (B).

At least 3 years of work experience as a construction manager or in a supervisory role such as production manager, site manager, or equivalent in construction/infrastructure projects within Road Construction Manager (land and construction, paving, electrical). Work experience should not be older than 10 years.

Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and guidelines in the relevant area.

At least 10 years of work experience in earthworks of excavation (soil/rock) and foundation work, e.g., piling or lightweight filling.

At least 3 years of work experience in contract work where coordination of utility work is included, e.g., electrical/telecommunication/optical channeling.

Work experience from at least 2 assignments where the offered resource as a construction manager or in a supervisory role has worked in land/road projects with >50 MSEK in total turnover.

As a construction manager, you should have work experience from at least 2 assignments where the following tasks have been performed successfully:

o Drainage measures

o Load-bearing enhancement measures

o Landowner contact

o Contract on a protected-class road with passing traffic

Completed training to act as the client's construction site safety coordinator, BAS-P and BAS-U.

Certification covering APV step 3.0 according to TDOK 2018:0371.

You should have experience from at least 1 collaborative contract where the compensation form for the contract has been on a time and materials basis. The contract sum for the assignment should have been >50 MSEK.

You should have experience in at least 1 preparation of tender documents for a contracting assignment.
